W-BACnet development kit
The W-BACnet development kit is a starting point for integrating the W-BACnet Module directly into a product. This is the first step in making your BACnet device wireless.
All the hardware you need to get started is included;
2 x W-BACnet devices
1 x W-BACnet Devboard
1 x W-BACnet shield
5 x W-BACnet Modules
3 x Antennas
1 x USB Cable
With the included development board the first prototype can be built without the need of soldering or hardware design work. The kit also includes parts to take the prototyping closer to a final product, with the 5 included W-BACnet Modules integrated directly onto the PCB of your product.
With the above parts, your knowledge and our support you will get the first prototype up and running quickly. We also support you in your journey by including mechanical, electrical and software development support when required.
W-BACnet module
W-BACnet replaces the cabling with a reliable wireless mesh eliminating the time-consuming installation planning, cabling, daisy-chaining and trouble-shooting.
The W-BACnet OEM Module can be integrated directly into a BACnet MSTP device in order to make it wireless. Simply connect the UART interface of the Module to your host CPU to communicate BACnet MSTP. The Module also have a SPI Slave interface for configuration, putting your device in control so the Module can be adapted to your already existing user interface.
The W-BACnet acts as a proxy for the connected BACnet MSTP device, effectively extending the bus and creating the possibility to make legacy products wireless. A W-BACnet network consists of a single W-BACnet Gateway with up to 100 W-BACnet Nodes. Connect your BACnet MS/TP controller using RS485 to the W-BACnet Gateway, and then each of your BACnet MS/TP devices with RS485 to the W-BACnet nodes.
